Abstract:
A floor mat for use in covering the floor of a motor vehicle comprises a corrugated layer having first and second opposing surfaces and a single face layer affixed to one of the surfaces of the corrugated layer so that the corrugated layer may be rolled up in a direction enclosing the face layer within the corrugated layer. Preferably, at least one tear line is provided for permitting the floor mat to be split into first and second mat portions which may be separately rolled up and removed from the vehicle after use. The first and second mat portions are each adapted to underlie a separate passenger area of the motor vehicle in order to protect the floor of the vehicle from being dirtied during use.; In another embodiment, a generally trapezoidally-shaped universal floor mat is provided which can alternately be placed on the floor beneath the front driver's or front passenger's side of a vehicle.

Abstract:
A disposable car floor mat comprises a paper core, a mesh made of synthetic materials, a vinyl sheet and a paper under-pad, all stapled in one piece. The said car mat can be folded for easy storage and disposal. In this invention the paper core, comprising 2 sheets of water absorbing paper and a stack of used newspaper, is used to form the main absorbing core of the disposable car floor mat. The bottom part of this mat is protected by a piece of vinyl sheet so as to prevent direct contact between the wetted paper core and the floor. The upper layer of the paper core are 2 sheets of water absorbing paper for rapid absorption and spreading of water over the entire surface of the paper core. Water is then transferred to the newspaper underneath through percolation. A mesh made of synthetic materials, covering the surface of the paper core, provides protection to the papers from abrasion.; All these components are stapled together to form one single piece. The materials of the mat renders it foldable and disposable economically. As water are held inside the paper core, the floor area can remain clean and dry.

Abstract:
The invention relates to disposable sanitary items for comfortable use of transport means and rooms. The inventive disposable floor carpet for protecting a motor vehicle and a room against soiling comprises a liquid-tight lining fabric (1), a liquid-permeable top fabric (2) and a core (3) arranged therebetween. Said core (3) comprises a liquid-receiving and distributing component (4) having a porous hydrophilic structure and a liquid-collecting and re-redistributing component (5) which is hydraulically connected to said liquid-receiving and distributing component.; The liquid -collecting and re-redistributing component (5) is made of a polymer foam material whose density ranges from 0.01 to 0.05 g/cm<3> and is embodied in the form a hydrophilic flexible open-cell structure whose free absorption power at a temperature of 15-40 DEG C is equal to or greater than 12 ml of liquid per 1g of dry foam material and which exhibits said liquid-absorption power when said structure is exposed to a pressure of 5.5 kPa. The initial absorption rate of the liquid-receiving and distributing component (4) is equal to or greater than 2 ml/s. An adhesive reagent layer is applied to the surface of the lining material through the carpet surface. Said invention increases the serviceability and the service life of the disposable floor carpet.
